I was born in Ashland Wisconsin. I have a sister, two brothers and I am the youngest. My father was a forester and my mother had a nursing degree, they both served in WWII. My wife Debi and I have two daughters, Leah and Paula. Paula and her husband Brian have two children Abram and Hannah. Both our daughters have accepted Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. Debi and I have been married for 42 years. I have worked in the paper industry with an engineering background for over 40 years.
In the mid 80’s we relocated from the Wisconsin Rapids area to Stevens Point. In the late 80’s we began attending Community Church when it was still meeting in the YMCA. Debi, our two daughters and I were baptized together in the Plover River. During our time at Community Church I have been on the Elder Team for 15 years.
I grew up in a Christian home and knew about Jesus in my mind but He was not in my heart. After completing college and starting work Debi and I began attending a Moravian church in the Town of Saratoga south of Wisconsin Rapids. This is when I truly accepted Jesus in my heart as my personal Lord and Savior.
I am thankful that God uses imperfect people (especially me) to do His work. I am inspired by some of the most fundamental verses in the New Testament such as Luke 19:10 “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost" and John 3:17 “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him”
