About Us
“Family” is a favorite word that members use to describe Community. The casual atmosphere, transformative teaching, and friendly faces make church gatherings feel like a big family. We strive for excellence in our ministries, but we don’t try to put on a flashy, entertaining show to impress people. In our ministries, we try to create a place where people can be real as they progress in their spiritual journey on the way to becoming like Christ.
There’s a place for everybody here. A vibrant women’s ministry provides opportunities for singles and marrieds, younger and older, to grow in Christ together. A bustling kids club meets every week for fun and support. Various small groups meet regularly to study the Bible, worship, pray, and encourage one another. Children learn to discover God and follow Jesus one step at a time through our Christ-centered children’s ministry. An exciting youth ministry trains junior and senior highers to make godly choices and become disciple-makers who change their world. Families with special needs children find support from loving caregivers. People struggling with addictions experience strength to break free through the power of the Holy Spirit. College students connect with families who “adopt” them while they complete their degree. Opportunities abound to participate in missions both in the surrounding community and in far-reaching parts of the planet. The possibilities are endless as our creative, powerful God continues to move at Community Church.
